On March 6th, 2015, Fondation Mérieux USA attended the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Meeting with Foundations at the United States Mission to the United Nations in New York.
The meeting was led by Amb. Bonnie Jenkins, Coordinator, Threat Reduction Programs, U.S. Department of State; Paivi Sillanaukee, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Finland; and Dr. Elizabeth Cameron, Director, Countering Biological Threats, National Security Council Staff. Fondation Mérieux USA President and CEO Louise Gresham addressed a presentation to the attendees on the role of laboratory networks within the GHSA.
The GHSA is focused on both strengthening health security and preparedness globally, while also improving preparedness at country and regional levels, through either national efforts or by assisting other countries to enhance preparedness capacity.
