Pandemic Preparedness Symposium

Washington, D.C. (USA)

The CSIS Global Heath Policy Center, in collaboration with DAI Global Health, Mérieux Foundation USA, and the USAID-funded Preparedness & Response project, will host a symposium examining how U.S. and international policies aim to reduce the risk of a 21st century equivalent of the Influenza of 1918, while also addressing how these policies translate into practice in high-risk countries through collaboration between animal and human health professionals and institutions.

For more information and to register for the event, please visit CSIS’s event page.
The event will also be available by webcast

The symposium will take place on the eve of the opening of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History’s new exhibition, “Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World.” The event is part of the newly launched CSIS Commission on Strengthening America’s Health Security.
